Long time no Blog

I decided to start over.

Along with a new year will come a whole new me, someone who will try to update her blog almost everyday even though she knows no one will read it, someone who tries to offer a philosophical opinion and think things through.

New years is still about a week away but regardless I am making changes now to prepare myself for the new year to come. These changes could be the smallest thing but who knows they could have a lasting impact on the quality of my life. I'm sick of complaining about how terrible things are for me when I know one, it could be much, much worse and two, complaining is never going to get me through the rough patches, it's only going to magnify them. With this new year will come new challenges, even challenges I will personally assign myself. with this I will have to strive for the best I can do. I'm not asking myself for perfection. I'm well aware perfection is an impossible goal that no one should honestly hold themselves to.

I will post my New Years Resolutions sooner to the actual New Year. In the meantime though I hope anyone who takes the time to read this thinks about what I've said.

Thank You:)

You know, they never make any bouquets with snapdragons?

Hey, In case anyone has discovered this and noticed I haven't been on in a while. Here's a little food for thought. Have you ever done something really cool with someone and you both were all excited about it then you got in some petty argument and everything just went downhill from there? What did you do afterwords? Personally, I called the person up and apologized stating the pettiness of said argument. (the person in question happened to be my boyfriend) Anyway, lots has happened since I last posted a blog so I figure later I'll update some things

Also, has anyone seen 500 Days of Summer? I saw that movie tonight & I'm convinced it's one of the best movies ever made. Zooey Deschanel, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are frigging brilliant.
so you should definitely head over to your nearest theater ASAP and see it. :)

Interesting Teaching Methods Huh?

So I have this biology teacher (who will remain nameless). Well recently we had to do Biotechnology projects and one of my friends did, what seemed to me, to be an excellent presentation on MS and scientists working towards a cure. She used her 8th grade science teacher (who actually has the disease) as a source in her report and our teacher told her she had everything wrong. This teacher even went as far as to say that my friend's source of her 8th grade teacher was not a reliable source! I will never understand my teacher's reasoning. Getting more to the point, my friend was grilled with questions till she was blue in the face. After class, my friend approached our teacher to let her know that she felt the way that the teacher had grilled her in front of the entire class was a bit embarrassing, and in her opinion a bit out of line and my teacher proceeds to tell her she should stop defending herself and that she was "sorry about your teacher" but "an interview with this person is not a reliable source" & "where was the actual project?" eventually my friend was in tears. To conclude this uncomfortable confrontation my teacher said, "well don't worry about your grade, you have 100%" This teacher has been harrassing students all year. She has: bashed my political beliefs (thus humiliating me), insulted my friend and her former teacher, made two other friends of mine cry because she denounced their beliefs that God would help them cope with the fact that their loved ones had cancer. (one girl's father had it and the other's best friend was in Hospice dying of it) This insensitivity would normally be overlooked in any public school, considering the seperation of church and state... however, I attend Parochial school. Catholic. so A) my teacher is not legally allowed to share her political opinions B)Not allowed to denounce a student's faith & C) supposed to provide a nurturing learning environment... she has basically done everything that is possible to get fired for other than physically assaulting a student.

Needless to say, I am frustrated.

& on top of all this, her grading formula is completely different from every other teacher and is set up so that every student gets the worst grade rather than doing their best.

for example: right now I have a 76 in her class, if she graded in the same way as all the other teachers I would have a 85 in her class. That's a jump from D to a B.

Think about that.

In the Beginning...

hmmm...
so people at my school may think that me starting a blog is weird.
but hey, who am I to say they're wrong? Lots of people might not even read this... but who cares? I was hoping I could make this blog about relevant stuff, but hey I can't promise anything comparable to Mother Teresa, but I think even the small stuff I talk about might be a little cool.
alright world, Read.

P.S. This is going to be a Summer thing mostly.
